内容概要：
Technological innovation has emerged as a key driver of competitive advantage in the modern economy. In this lecture, Professor Fabrizio D’Ascenzo from the University of Rome will provide an in-depth exploration of the sources, types, and strategic implications of technological innovation. He will examine how innovation originates—from individuals and firms to universities and government institutions—and how creative ideas are transformed into practical products and processes. The lecture will introduce key innovation frameworks, including the innovation funnel and technology S-curve, as well as various forms of innovation such as radical vs. incremental, product vs. process, and architectural vs. component innovation. In addition, the session will highlight how information technology can reduce operational costs and increase revenue through tools such as digital platforms and recommendation engines.

Fabrizio D'Ascenzo，意大利劳工和社会政策部（Ministry of Labour and Social Policies）下属国家工伤事故保险局（National Institute for Insurance against Accidents at Work）局长，罗马一大金沙威尼斯欢乐娱人城前院长、教授，罗马一大与加州大学伯克利分校（美国）、与莫斯科MGIMO 大学（俄罗斯）合作协调人，金沙威尼斯欢乐娱人城文澜讲座教授。D'Ascenzo教授聚焦商品经济领域，紧跟数字经济前沿，担任学术期刊《银行管理》（Dirigenza Bancaria）学术委员会委员，学术期刊《可持续性》（Sustainability），《商品科学、技术与质量》（Journal of Commodity Science, Technology and Quality）及《商品论坛》（Forum Ware）编委会委员，出版学术专著及合集10余本，发表期刊论文200余篇。
